An official UK report has revealed that almost 439,000 e-mail addresses and telephones were tapped in the UK in just over a year. The number was released by the Interceptions of Communications Commissioner - I kid you not, they do have that office - so we can assume that if anything it might be a low figure. Now they’re aiming to not only get everybody’s fingerprints for ID Cards, but be able to tap Ministers of Parliament as well. I’m not expecting the MPs to just accept it, so it will be fun to see what reasons they come up with for not being monitored themselves.
