The connected experience

Posted on Tuesday 9 January 2007

Leave it to Microsoft to hail the digital decade and talk of connected experiences years after people discover social networking, file sharing, and plug their earphones into each other’s iPods.

Truth be told, their implementation of connected all-in-one devices - like an Xbox 360 that can show digital video and mushc - would be appealing, if it weren’t for their being saddled with DRM. I’d much rather go with something not as well integrated, but where I have actual control of my media. Case in point: Red Kawa’s Wii Media Center. Exhibit B: Xbox media center.
