Technolust - Wireless sleep-cycle based alarm clock

Posted on Tuesday 31 January 2006

HipTechBlog, a site I should probably not visit if I want to keep something in my bank account, has an article about the
aXbo Alarm Clock, which monitors your sleep cycles via a wristband to wake you in the optimal moment in the sleep cycle, making you feel refreshed and clear-headed.

Bloody expensive, and who knows if it will be worth it, but I’m just fascinated by the way technology has become a more pervasive part of our lives, on everything from toys to Wi-Fi networking devices masquerading as bunnies to, obviously, the way you’re reading this (from my laptop in Costa Rica, to my site in Hong Kong, to wherever it is you’re sitting, through scores of routing mechanisms in between).
